Willow Waters Fishery provides lakeside log cabin holidays in a quiet and relaxing rural setting in Pocklington on the outskirts of York. Established in 1994 this family run business offers a warm and friendly welcome. Many customers come to us to unwind and relax away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. What better way than to sit by the waters edge watching the wildlife. We are suitable for the keen and experienced angler and those wanting a peaceful rural retreat with convenient fishing.
The main Lake is 100 years old and set amongst mature trees and boasts an excellent stock of Common Carp and Mirror Carp up to 25lb... and beyond. Many other species of coarse fish include Bream, Roach, Perch, Ide and Pike, some that weigh in at 26lb plus. This is for the angler who loves a real challenge! Can you outwit some of the most knowledgeable Wild Carp? This is by no means easy fishing. This is a natural lake and the fish feed off a variety of natural food in the water. So trying to catch these is extremely difficult but a 'real challenge' that many anglers love to take on, these fish are in the best of condition. Anglers have been staying at Willow Waters Fishery for over 25 years and are still learning our water. You will not find an unmarked fish in better condition than the ones that come out of our lake! A challenge that will test your angling skills to the max.....If you manage to hook into some of these Wild Carp be sure to have some strong line, these fish will really test you.
Middle Lake is an easier water and less of a challenge and is well stocked with F1's, Common Carp, Green Tench, Roach, Bream, Ide, Skimmers and Perch. Ideal for the angler who likes to catch volume instead of weight. A perfect lake for catching fish all day.
